Yep, Gavin & I just got back from another trip. This time we were living it up in sunny San Diego. This time we didn't go to the beach at all though. I was pretty much beached out & I am sure Gavin is grateful to not have to touch the sand. It was so good to have Gavin & Valentina together again. Those kids are the best of friends and it brings me to tears every time we tear them apart. He continues to ask for her for days after we've been home. It's so sad. But when they are together they are hilarious. Always laughing, wrestling, chasing each other, sharing food, and yes they fight. They are always eager to mend things with a hug and a kiss though. And Gavin now says "sorry" or rather he signs it, but he's really good about doing that. It's cute.
We had so much fun in San Diego! We were able to spend an ENTIRE day at Sea World. That was exhausting, but we all had a great time. Gavin especially enjoyed the seals & playing in the water. He liked the dolphin show for the first little while, but then it started to get hot & this kid sweats like no other! Huge beads were rolling down his face. Poor guy...when the show was over you would've thought that he was sitting in the splash zone.
Gavin loved walking the pier and watching people fish. But mostly he enjoyed running up and down it and screaming while chasing Miss Valentina all over the place.
Oh! and Gavin has mustered up the guts to go down the slide ALL by himself. I used to have to place him up there and turn him on his belly and give him a little push. Nope, not anymore. He goes up by himself, sits down, and pushes himself! Even the really big twisty slide! I was shocked! He's getting so big, I was so proud!
Anyways, here are some pictures of our adventures. I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to see my family often. I miss them way to much when they aren't around. And I'm so excited to be heading over to see my UT family here soon! YEA! Wiscombes here we come! Prepare yourselves, Gavin (and I) can be a handful...but oh he is such a sweet boy!

Playing in the backyard with Grandma & Paige.

Playing with "Bapa" on the pier; stuck in a bucket that he was absolutely obsessed with all week!; and down at Sunset Cliffs/tide pools with me. He loved all the crabs down there.

SEA WORLD! I love that place! Gavin, Grandma, & V watching the Dolphin Show; Paige, Grandma, V, & Gavin watching the Pets Show; The "light saber" Gavin just had to have so Grandpa (what a softy) got him one.
More Sea World. Gavin's first ride on and Elmo that resembled a zebra; playing at the newly designed Sesame Street play place for kids (looks just the same, but different colors and it has rides now); Gavin and the fish hat. He actually liked it even though he looks peeved. The hat just squished his face a little bit.
The water spouts at the play place. Gavin was hilarious! He loves those things! And the sea lions, which happened to be his favorite. He started barking at them because they sounded like dogs. It was cracking him up!

Our little picnic at Seaport Village. Gavin loves nectarines and sharing them with everyone.
Going down the slides all by himself! And lovin' it!

Up close on the swings at Shelter Island
Grandma, Paige, V, & Gavin at our little picnic
There was the cutest little bench under this awesome tree at Sea World and those two loved sitting on it. That's Gavin laughing hysterically (hence the milk running out of his mouth) while doing Wheels on the Bus. V looking at him like he's crazy.

Still doing Wheels on the Bus. V looks like she is humoring him a little bit.

Now it's funny!

Thanks so much for being such a good blogger. Gavin is growing up so fast and so darn cute. You two are quite the travelers aren't you. How fun. You were in WV when I called Venita the first of the week I think it was. We are here in Cedar for a few days for Mari's baby's blessing. Still at the cabin but will probably be going home soon. Hope it has cooled off some. It is getting a tad cold in the mornings and evenings on the mountain. Love you all so much. xoxoxoxxo
