We have been in the D.C. area for about 3 wks now. It's been great! Although the traffic here is insane! Yesterday Gavin and I attempted to go to these Aquatic Gardens that looked amazing on the internet. I was so excited! And even more excited when I found out that they were only 8 miles away! An hour and a half later and a drive through the projects and we were there. KID YOU NOT! I was about to lose my mind! And to top it off the so called "Aquatic Gardens" were more like swamps. Awesome. But other than that I've really been enjoying our time here. We have just one more week here and then it's home we go. Which at about this point we're pretty sure that Gavin isn't exactly positive which place is home anymore. Hopefully we'll get to stay home for a while after this trip.
Okay, so since we (meaning I) tend to take an incredible amount of pictures I figured that I should attempt in blogging some now before we even get home. This bunch is of our first wk on the east coast! I do love it here. I love all the trees and so far everyone has been so nice! But I will admit that a part of me is aching for home even if it is in Las Vegas. But we will keep you posted with all of our many pics and fun times.
4 a.m. and ready to go to the airport with his Thomas bag in tow.

The very first thing we did when we got into town was go to this awesome park. The parks here are so nice! And Gavin really liked this train car.
Swinging
He was insistent that he got to swing on the "big kid" swing.
Our boy
Gavin wasn't the only one enjoying the playground...
There was stuff for us too!
Watching all the police officers in some sort of motorcycle competition
Waiting for the train (the Metro). He loves it!
Gavin enjoys wearing our clothes...we try to stick to Matt's clothes...since he seems to prefer my shoes.

The White House
Yea! That was fun!

What the heck! What's this?!

Are you serious? Look at all that horrid sand!

Not gonna happen. He's not going to touch that sand!

Matt to the rescue. Gavin wouldn't get off the slide without him.
An awesome slide!
On his way to play some basketball with his Dad
Racing to the tennis ball

Playing with Dad

And finally apparently being scared out of his mind by this slide. His face is hilarious!

Oh, I'm jealous! That looks like tons of fun. Enjoy it now, before you get tied down with kids in school. I hate it. I wish we could go, go, go all the time.
