Pomegranate Picking

The other weekend we had the chance to go up to Matt's Grandparent's house. We had so much fun! They have this huge yard, which I'm pretty sure Gavin was drooling over...I know I was.
We got to do so many fun things while we were there! Gav asks almost every day, "Hama's house?". And he talks about the "baby" playground he got to play on inside the giant fig tree (which I am in love with! that tree is AWESOME!). He talks about the donkey, sheep & goat he got to touch and feed. And he absolutely loves, loves, loves the little motorcycle is great Grandma gave to him. He even refers to it as "Hama's". Hopefully we can get back up there soon because we all had a blast! Here are some pictures of our very fun day!

We were able to pick the remaining pomegranates and take them home! They are so delicious! Although I don't really have the patience for them, so Matt has to tackle the process of getting all the seeds out & then I am right there, ready to enjoy.
Pomegranate Picking
On some adventures with his Great Grandma (they found a bee hive, which Gavin really wasn't to sure about) & she took him on a bike ride which he thoroughly enjoyed.
The incredibly awesome fig tree!
Feeding and petting the animals
Eating pomegranates with Great Grandma & learning how to use scissors (he was so proud of himself)
The fun bike ride...I love this picture
My cute boy
We also were able to have some fun with their 4-wheeler. All of us LOVED that and can't wait for the day when we can have our own!

THANK YOU Grandma & Grandpa Clark for having us over & for such a fun day!

What we were doing 1 week before Thanksgiving...

Yep, we had the chance to go spend a few days in Indio, California with some of my family. And those few days were so nice! Gavin had a blast, I had a blast...it was awesome & so relaxing! The pictures can just about explain themselves, but while we were there we went to Joshua Tree, we went hot tubbing, morning walks with "Hama" & "Bapa", swimming, the park, & floated down the lazy river a dozen times. I think the river may have been Gavin's favorite. He liked going under the waterfall & pretending he was a bumper car. Good times.
Oh yeah, and Gavin seems to think he knows how to swim now. It's pretty funny watching him walking or rather crawling around in the pool kicking one leg at a time every now and again, saying "watch this mama!" over and over again. What a fun boy we have! He makes me laugh!

Happy Halloween

Sorry that this post is rather late. It feels like we've been pretty crazy busy over here lately. We're getting back into a regular schedule these days...so I'm finally sitting down and blogging.
Our Halloween was lots of fun. We spent the evening over at a friends house (Gavin calls it the puppies house b/c they have two dogs that he loves) & had a fabulous dinner & had some fun trick or treating. Gavin was an adorable little zebra. He loved his costume...I was so shocked. I thought I would be fighting him to put it on & keep it on for 2 minutes. Definitely not the case. It was more me fighting him to take the darn thing off. He looked cute though and I am glad that he enjoyed his costume.
Matt & I were to awesome people stuck in the 80's. We went to a thrift store that afternoon and threw our costumes together. It was fun getting dressed for Halloween. I couldn't stop laughing at him, he looked hilarious! He shaved his beard off & jut left that hilarious (yet somewhat questionable) mustache. That definitely got a few funny comments from our friends.
This was Gavin's first experience with trick or treating. We took him in our friends' neighborhood. He was doing good walking by himself and knocking on the doors, until this one house. A man came out with this seriously scary clown mask & I don't think Gavin knew what to do. After that house he would still walk to the houses, but once we got close to the doors he wanted me to pick him up. But he still would say "thank you" after receiving his candy. He was really cute and I think he had fun. So here are a few pictures from our fun Halloween night.
Aren't we a cute couple?Trick or Treating. And yes, those are the awesome jellies on my feet. I found a pair, a size to big, but they were a must have. Although the jellies I had as a kid were much cooler.
After trick or treating hours Gavin apparently still wanted some practice so he and our friend Brandon (the bumble bee) did some trick or treating of their own.
Happy Halloween!
