Party #2

Alright, so this is party #2 for Matthew. While he was all crazy busy running around trying to do last minute stuff for the surprise party he was planning for his parents...I (along with our fabulous friends in Utah) were busy trying to coordinate a surprise party for Matt. He didn't suspect a thing.

The sad thing is that all of his friends that were able to come ended up having to wait 2 hours because the trip that normally takes us 5 hrs, had turned into a 7 hr drive!!! Thanks to a little man we like to call Gavin. He was NOT having this road trip whatsoever! I was getting so antsy in the car it was driving me crazy. So we had Gavin screaming in the back and me screaming in front. Poor Matt, but I think he understood later once his surprise became known. But Matt really does have some wonderful friends because they all stuck around for us to get there. A few had to leave almost immediately after we arrived, but that was awesome of them to stick around and we totally understood.

Matt was so oblivious to his surprise! It was funny. We got there and his friends came out greeting us (we were staying with some friends so that Bart & Venita wouldn't know that we were in town), and when we went inside there were all these decorations up. So Matt says, "sweet, did you guys just have a party". We giggled a little, but played along until all his friends jumped out and screamed. It was fun.
